Terms of bookings
The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings
Confirmation of booking
Provisional bookings can be made by telephone, letter, email or in person and these will be held for up to two weeks. During this period they can be confirmed by the payment of a deposit if not confirmed after two weeks it will be automatically cancelled
Bookings will be considered definite once a deposit of £500.00 has been paid and a signed Terms and Conditions and booking form has been submitted. A full detailed confirmation will be sent to you showing a breakdown of your requirements and associated costs. A proforma invoice will be sent out based on your provisional numbers.
Menus
All Catering is to be provided by The Great Catering Co. (unless previously agreed with the Management)
Please choose one item only from the Wedding Breakfast Menu to suit all of your guests (All guests to have the same menu) Children’s and Vegetarian Menus are issued upon request. Any guests with dietary requirements will also be catered for.
The customer is responsible for the correct printing of their own menu.
Numbers
Final numbers must be received Six weeks prior to your function. No refunds for any reduction on guest numbers are given.
Payment
6 months prior to your function date an appointment should be made with your event coordinator at Cromwell Manor. At this meeting all aspects of your function will be discussed and a further 25% of the total function cost will be required and a further meeting booked for six weeks prior to your function.
The final balance must be paid at your prearranged 6 week meeting. At this stage no refund will be given for any reduction of numbers.
All payments to be paid by cash, credit/debit card or bank transfer. All payments to be cleared prior to your function date.
All prices are inclusive of VAT and no service charges of any kind are added.
Bar
All “bar monies” should be settled by cash or debit card only and all funds to be cleared before the function. Any additional expenses incurred on the day are to be settled in full by cash or debit card
It is company policy that guests are not permitted to bring their own food or drink for consumption on the premises with the exception of celebration cakes.
If guests are seen to bring their own liquor they will be escorted from the premises.
Wedding Ceremonies
You will be required to organise your own Registrar for the ceremony.
Wedding Evening Functions and Buffets
All evening functions must have a buffet to a minimum of 80% of the total attending guests. Please refer to our evening buffet menus.
Garden
Please be aware that our garden features a pond and is a danger to children and non-swimmers. The company does not accept responsibility for anyone using the gardens.
Prices
Prices quoted in our brochure are valid until 31st December of that year but are subject to alteration without prior notice. After the deposit has been received to confirm your booking, prices quoted in writing will be adhered to.
Entertainment
If you wish to bring in your own D.J/Live Band or Singer for your evening entertainment. The Management at Cromwell Manor reserve the right to charge £100 for admin and insurance purposes. The client is responsible for ensuring that entertainers using electrical equipment have the appropriate safety certification and also Public Liability Insurance. If the equipment is deemed to be unsafe the management reserves the right to disconnect the power supply. All entertainers must vacate the premises within 30 minutes of the end of the function.
The Management have the right to change its music policy at any time.
Equipment and Property
Cromwell Manor insurance policy does not provide cover for the loss or damage of clients or guests equipment or property which must be collected at the close of the function, including all wedding presents and ipods etc used for background music. We always advise that wedding insurance is taken to cover personal items.
Damage
The organiser of the function will be responsible for any defacement to the venue at the time of the function and will be held liable for the total cost of any repairs to the Manor/ Marquee or Gardens.
Function Cancellation Policy
Cancellation means the loss of deposit in all cases.
Cancellations prior to six months before your Wedding Day - Deposit lost
Cancellations between 6 months and 6 weeks before your Wedding Day will incur a 50% of the anticipated charge.
Cancellations 6 weeks prior to the event will incur full payment.
